Anyone here have any experience with these two?

I've got a few questions I'd like to ask.

Newest guy: Excuse me, but real programmers use butterflies.

Newest guy: They open their hands and let the delicate wings flap once.

Newest guy: The disturbance ripples outward, changing the flow of the eddy currents in the upper atmosphere. These cause momentary pockets of higher pressure air to form, which act as lenses that deflect incoming cosmic rays, focusing them to strike the drive platter and flip the desired bit.

Hmm, maybe next time I should ask "Can anyone help me reference XKCD?" Then I'd get answers about RoR and RMagick =p

Ruby is for fools. Obj-C 2.0 is where it's at.

That's a pretty baseless claim.

Ok then how about no more usage of "FTW" unless you're recounting a last minute play that wins a game in an actual sport (football, soccer, basketball, baseball, etc)

that would be acceptable. If you're referencing a penalty shot FTW, then it is ok... but it's not like they are even long words. It's like WWW, where saying it is actually more syllables than the full version.

what's the point of using the words that way? I mean you're not shortening it any!
